Bhubaneswar: Mercedes-Benz has sold 7,893 cars, far exceeding 6,604 units sold by its competitor BMW Group, in India in 2020.
As expected, the second quarter was slow with just 563 units sold by Mercedes. It had registered 2,886 units in the final quarter and 2,058 units in Q3.
14 per cent of the cars sold were via its online channels.
In all, Mercedes launched 10 new models in 2020 including an electric SUV – EQC.
The German maker plans to launch 15 new and updated models in 2021.
