Bhubaneswar: With the IMD predicting the onset of the southwest monsoon over Odisha in the next 4-5 days, the maximum temperature is likely to decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius after 3-4 days in the state.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of the monsoon into some parts of north Arabian sea, remaining parts of Konkan, some parts of Gujarat, most parts of Madhya Maharashtra, entire Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, some parts of Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, west-central & north-west Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours, the IMD’s regional centre in Bhubaneswar said on Saturday.
Conditions would continue to become favourable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of north Arabian Sea, Gujarat, some parts of Marathwada, some more parts of Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, most parts of Bay of Bengal, entire sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, some parts of Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharakhand and Bihar during the subsequent 2-3days, it said.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Interior Odisha, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
