The Deep Depression was located about 40 km from north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts at 8.30 am.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain at one or two places in the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Sambalpur.
The weather agency has also warned of dense fog in Sundargarh and Jharsuguda on December 2, and Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Koraput and Angul on December 3. The night temperature across Odisha will show no large change during the next 2 days, then fall by 2–4°C over the subsequent 3 days, and remain nearly steady thereafter.
