Bhubaneswar: Mercury shot up alarmingly in most parts of Odisha on Sunday with 17 places recording over 35 degree Celsius with Balasore being the hottest with 38.8 Degrees.
While Bhubaneswar, Angul and Sonepur recorded 38.2, 38.1 and 38 Degrees respectively, temperature hovered around 35 Degrees and above in Chandbali (36.7), Cuttack (37), Jharsuguda (36,8), Keonjhar (35), Sambalpur (36.9), Hirakud (36.7), Bhawanipatna (35.5), Bolangir (37.5), Malkangiri (37.6) and Dhenkanal (37.2).
