Mercury Soars Past 40°C In Odisha Again; Boudh Wrests Hottest Place Tag From Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Mercury soared past 40 degree Celsius for the second consecutive day on Monday with Boudh wresting the hottest place tag from Bhubaneswar.

While Boudh recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius, Bhubaneswar was a close second at 40.2 degree Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), 10 other places in the state recorded temperature above 39 degree Celsius. They are Sambalpur, Nayagarh, Angul, Titlagarh, Baripada, Hirakud, Talcher, Cuttack, Bhawanipatna and Malkangiri.

The Met office has forecast no large change in the day temperature (2-3 degrees above normal) during the next 3-4 days.
