Bhubaneswar: With temperature gradually starting to fall in some parts of Odisha, cold wave conditions are likely to set in from November 16, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Thursday.
In a bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said that no large change in maximum and minimum temperature is expected to take place during the next 24 hours.
However, the temperature is likely to fall by 2 to 4 degree Celsius from Saturday, it said. “No large change in Maximum/Minimum Temperature during next 24 hours & thereafter fall by 2-4°C,” the weather agency said.
Meanwhile, shallow fog has occurred at one or two places over Keonjhar and northern interior region, while dry weather prevailed over most parts of the state.
There was appreciable fall in temperature at one or two places over north interior Odisha and no large change over other parts of the state.
The highest maximum temperature of 33.8°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district and the lowest minimum temperature of 15.4°C at Rourkela in the plains.
