New Delhi: Amid reports of leak of private WhatsApp messages on search engines, the Facebook-owned messaging app has issued a further clarification.
According to WhatsApp, the change in its recently revised policy “doesn’t affect the privacy of messages with friends or family”, reported NDTV.
After the cross-platform messaging service’s earlier clarification saying the update would only affect Business accounts, this comes as the second clarification regarding the issue.
Earlier it was reported that WhatsApp groups are starting to show up on Google search again. User profiles and private groups, which first appeared in 2019 due to a technical glitch, were visible again.
