Messi Extends Stay In India To Visit Vantara; Hosted By Anant Ambani

New Delhi: Football great Lionel Messi seems to have extended his stay in India beyond his GOAT tour to visit Vantara in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Footage of the Argentine captain along with Luis Suárez, reaching Jamnagar amid tight security, was shared by news agency ANI. Messi and his teammates will be the latest in a long list of global dignitaries to visit the wildlife rescue and rehabilitation facility, set up by Ambani scion Anant.

Donald Trump Jr, son of US president Donald Trump, visited Vantara recently and praised its scale, vision and commitment to wildlife conservation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also visited the facility earlier this year.

“They will visit Vantara and stay the

re tonight, and will be hosted by Anant Ambani, director of Reliance Industries Limited,” ANI wrote.

Messi wrapped up the GOAT tour earlier on Monday with a stunning event at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Though his arrival in the capital was delayed due to fog, fans were not disappointed as Messi made a stellar appearance at the stadium, as reported by timesnow.in.

Among those who met Messi were ICC chairman Jay Shah, Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta, and DDCA president Rohan Jaitley. Shah presenting Indian cricket jerseys to the footballers with their names printed on the back.

While Messi received the iconic jersey number 10, Suárez was given number 9, while De Paul was presented with number 7. Messi was also presented with an autographed bat and tickets for the upcoming T20I World Cup. .

While the start of the tour was nothing to write home about, thanks to the fiasco in Kolkata, the events in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi went as planned, with fans enjoying every moment.

Messi took part in football clinics across cities while he met several prominent names from all fields.
