Bhubaneswar: Heatwave condition is likely to prevail in several districts of Odisha till April 29, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated in its mid-day bulletin on Sunday. On the day, Bhubaneswar recorded 43 degree Celsius till 2.30 pm.
The heat wave condition is likely to prevail in the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, and Balangir on April 25.
Similarly, the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir and Mayurbhanj are likely to experience the intense heat on April 26 and a similar condition will prevail over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Mayurbhanj and Kalahandi on April 27 and 28.
The IMD has advised people to take precautionary measures for hot weather while going outside during day time, particularly between 11 am and 3 pm.

The IMD stated that due to Northwesterly-Westerly dry air and high solar insolation maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to rise gradually by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of interior Odisha. However, no large change is likely thereafter over the coastal districts during next two days.
