New Delhi: Indian businesswoman and director of the MEIL Group Sudha Reddy graced the red carpet at Met Gala 2024 in a stunning outfit and 180-carat diamond necklace while Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt left the international paparazzi screaming her name in awe.
The diamond necklace that Reddy wore at the event on Monday night is called “Amore Eterno” and is made of a 25-carat heart-shaped diamond and three more 20-carat heart-shaped diamonds representing her husband and their two kids. She paired the necklace with a 23-carat diamond solitaire ring and another 20-carat diamond solitaire ring, which is said to be worth $20 million, reported the US media.
Alia Bhatt graced the event wearing a hand-embroidered floral saree by Sabyasachi, which was in harmony with the event’s theme, The Garden of Time.
“It was a call to the Garden of Time – an ode to art and eternity. Timelessness is endless, and we acknowledge that things crafted with time and care, can last forever. In our journey for an Indian interpretation of this universal theme, the outfit took on a life of its own,” Alia wrote on her Instagram handle.
It was the second appearance of the Bollywood actress at the renowned fashion affair after her debut in 2023.
Sharing the video on X, a fan wrote, “Alia Bhatt at the Met Gala 2024 in a saree representing her culture globally and pap screaming her name outta their lungs, she came a long way.”
Met Gala is organised on first Monday of May every year in New York and is considered fashion’s biggest night out globally. The theme this year was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”.
