Bhubaneswar: Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in western and coastal parts of Odisha on March 29 and 30, an alert issued by local meteorological centre stated on Tuesday.
The temperature may go past 40 degree Celsius in these parts of the state on these days, the bulletin said.
Several districts of North Odisha including Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj and Balasore, and adjoining areas are also expected to experience Nor’wester (locally known as Kalabaisakhi) on the afternoon of March 31. However, a slight dip in temperature is likely on April 1 and 2.
Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar recorded 36 degree Celsius by 1 pm.
