Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department here on Friday issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for as many as 16 districts of Odisha.
It also cautioned people of these districts to stay indoors or take shelter at safe locations till 4.30 pm.
Thunderstorm with lightning was forecast for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Khordha, Deogarh, Cuttack, Puri, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Sundargarh and Angul between 12.30 pm and 4.30 pm.
