Bhubaneswar: The Met Department issued thunderstorm warning for 14 districts in Odisha on Monday.
According to a bulletin issued in this regard, thunderstorm accompanied by hailstone showers are expected to occur over districts including Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapara, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal till 7 pm.
Strong and gusty winds reaching speed up to 50 to 60 kmph are likely to prevail in these districts, the bulletin stated.
People in these areas have been advised to stay indoors and take shelter in nearby buildings and other safe locations during these hours.
Similar weather conditions are most likely to prevail in the state for four more days.
