Mumbai: Actor Payal Ghosh, who accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct, is unable to lodge a complaint against the filmmaker since her building has been sealed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
According to a Republic TV report, the BMC has apparently sealed Payal’s building, Oakland Park Society in Andheri West due to COVID-19 cases.
On Monday, Payal had reportedly visited the Oshiwara police station to lodge a complaint against the filmmaker but was unable to do so because of non-availability of a lady constable.
According to her lawyer Nitin Satpute, the actress was uncomfortable in sharing the details of the incident with a male officer, so they decided to file the complaint later on Tuesday.
Payal has also stated that she will be writing to the Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to provide security to her as she fears for her life.
