Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday said that it was considering a plan to appoint a consultant for the proposed Metro line connecting Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Jatni and Puri.
But Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena said that there was no plan at the moment to start tram services linking various places in Koraput district.
Jena’s reply came in response to Congress MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati’s question, seeking details about the Metro train project.
Bahinipati also asked the minister whether it was true that while the Centre was very keen on the Metro line in Odisha, the state government was not cooperating.
He also asked if there was a plan to start tram services in Koraput.
