MG Starts Bookings For 7-Seater Hector Plus

Mumbai: Morris Garages (MG) on Monday opened bookings for its soon-to-be-launched 6/7-seater Hector Plus SUV. Interested customers can book the car by paying ₹50,000 online.

The much-awaited Hector Plus will come in both six and seven-seat configurations, unlike the Hector which is a 5-seater SUV. The length of the Hector Plus is 65 mm more than the Hector. The six-seater variant will have two captain seats in the centre.

Like the original Hector, this one will also be a connected car with the same 10.24 touchscreen infotainment system and iSmart connected car tech. It will also have ‘Smart Swipe’ — a hands-free way of opening the tailgate by swiping your leg underneath the rear bumper. Being a three-row SUV, there will AC vents in every row. It also has a sun roof. The top-end comes with smoke sepia brown-coloured leather wrapped on the seats and armrests.

It will come in 6 colours – Glaze Red, Burgundy Red, Starry black, candy white, aurora silver and Starry Sky Blue. The last colour is exclusive to the Hector Plus.

As for engines, the Hector Plus will come with options of 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol (141 bhp), 1.5-litre petrol hybrid and 2-litre turbocharged diesel (168 bhp). The petrol variant will be available with DCT and a 6-speed manual transmission option. The hybrid version and diesel come with a manual-only option.

Prices of the Hector Plus are expected to be slightly higher than the Hector five-seat variants.
