Micromax-Backed Revolt Motors Electric Motorcycle Prices Announced

Micromax  co-founder Rahul Sharma’s Revolt Motors on Wednesday officially launched RV 400 electric motorcycle with an interesting buying scheme which the company has described as “no rental, no lease plan that offers customers full ownership from Day 1 and requires no down payment”.

The motorcycle can be bought at a monthly payment of Rs 3,499 per month for three years, which adds up to Rs 1,25,964.

The top-end model, which has featured such as artificial exhaust note and start-stop function, costs Rs 3,999 per month for three years or Rs 1,43,964.

Revolt has also introduced a second motorcycle RV 300. This costs Rs 2,999 per month for three years or Rs 1,07,964.

The RV 300 has a smaller 1.5kW hub-mounted motor. It is shorter at 1350mm. It has a narrow rear tyre and smaller rear disc brake. It is also 7kg lighter at 101kg. It, however, has a longer range of 180km. The top speed is lower at 65kmph.

The battery comes with a warranty of up to eight years or 1.5 lakh km. Revolt is also giving 3 years or up to 30,000km free maintenance. It comes with free insurance and five years or 75,000 km warranty on the whole product.

RV 400 will be manufactured in Maneswar, Haryana, at a 1 lakh sqft factory with production capacity of 1.2 lakh units per year. The motor and batteries are currently imported while the Battery Management System (BMS) and the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) are designed in-house.
