San Francisco: Microsoft Word will have a new feature called Microsoft Editor that will help check grammar in the software. The feature will be available for the latest Word for Windows 10 and is currently available in the web version.
Right now, it is available to testers running Version 2010 (Build 13328.20000).
The Microsoft Editor uses AI and machine learning to spot typing and grammar errors and works like other grammar checking tools such as Grammarly.
Unlike the existing typo fixing feature in Word, the Microsoft Editor will check all elements of writing and make suggestions for improving overall writing style. It will suggest format inclusiveness, acronyms, geopolitical references and more.
There will be a feature to check plagiarism as well.
The feature will soon be available on Microsoft products such as Outlook.
