Nuapada: Dalals (middlemen) chopped the toes and three fingers of a migrant labourer of Nuapada district in Nagpur area of Maharashtra a few days back.
The matter came to light when family members of the migrant labourer lodged a complaint in a police station on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Chamaru Paharia. He belongs to Tikarapada village under Komana police limits in the district.
According to sources, the middlemen allegedly cut five toes and three fingers of Chamaru, when he asked for wages. Then they dumped him at Nuapada railway station.
The railway police rescued him and sent him back to his village after treatment.
Two middlemen had taken Chamaru and two other labourers to Nagpur in July.
