Miffed At Excessive Barking Of Pet Dog, Man ‘Disrobes’ Its Owner In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Riled by the excessive barking of a pet dog, a man allegedly stripped and molested its owner in broad daylight at Surya Nagar in Odisha capital, recently.

He also attacked the animal with a sharp-edged weapon, seriously injuring it.

The 23-year-old woman has lodged a formal complaint with the Capital Police, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

She alleged that Chandan Nayak and his father created a ruckus ousidet her house on Thursday afternoon and asked her to stop her dog from barking. They hurled abuses at her and when she said that what they were asking was not possible, Chandan dragged her out on to the road and tore her clothes, she said in her complaint, while accusing him of attempting to rape her.

She also claimed Chandan pierced the dog’s private parts with an iron rod.

“We have received her complaint and would initiate legal action,” Capital Police Station IIC Padmanav Pradhan told TOI.
