Balangir: A migrant woman of Balangir gave birth to a baby in Shramik Special train while she was on her way home.
According to Railways sources, Kunti Nag of Pakhanmunda village under Turekela block in the district was returning home along with her husband Dhuble Nag in the train from Secunderabad. The 35-year-old woman in advanced stage of pregnancy felt labour pain on the way.
With the assistance of fellow passengers and Railways officials, Kunti gave birth to a baby boy in the running train.
The newborn baby and her mother were rushed to Balangir Government Hospital on their arrival at the railway station. Their condition was normal, the sources said.
