Puri: Brahmagiri Forest officials recovered carcasses of four migratory birds near Badabandhakera Square near Delanga Road in Brahmagiri on Thursday. The poachers managed to flee from the spot. Forest Department officials have been patrolling the area for the safety of the winged guests who have come to Chillika. “The migratory birds have been coming to these areas. Our staff has been engaged in patrolling. We are conducting awareness campaigns in the villages to stop poaching the birds,” said Brahmagiri Range Officer, Rajat Mohapatra.
