Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi predicted on Sunday that Odisha will script a new future “from mines to microchips.”

Speaking after the inauguration of Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) state-of-the-art Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute at Jatni, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, the Prime Minister said that development has gained new momentum after the formation of ‘double-engine’ government in Odisha.

“Eastern India is emerging as a strong growth engine for Viksit Bharat. Since the formation of the double-engine government in Odisha, development has gained new momentum. Odisha’s economy is being strengthened not only by natural resources but also by technology. On the one hand, mineral-based industries are expanding, while on the other, efforts are underway to develop a new semiconductor and electronics ecosystem,” Modi said.

“You mark my words, Odisha is on course for writing a new future from mines to microchips,” Modi said.

The PM pointed out that new investment opportunities are emerging in the state in data centres and advanced computing which will open many doors for the youth.

And he ended his address by saying, “Jai Jagannath.”
