Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the 72ndIndependence Day celebration in Odisha, the state government has come up with a detailed schedule with the name of the ministers and senior bureaucrats who will unfurl the tricolour at the district level functions.
According to a General Administration notification, the ministers would unfurl the Tri-colour in 18 district headquarters while the Members, Board of Revenue, Revenue Divisional Commissioners (RDCs) and the Collectors would grace the event in the remaining 14 districts.
While Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend the I-day celebration in Bhubaneswar, the following ministers would unfurl the Tri-colour in 18 district headquarters.
Sambalpur-Nrusingha Charan Sahu, Balasore-Bikram Keshari Arukh, Puri-Ashok Chandra Panda, Cuttack-Sashi Bhusan Behera, Keonjhar-Ananta Das, Malkangiri- Chandra Sarathi Behera, Jajpur-Badri Narayan Patra, Mayurbhanj-Pradip Maharathy, Kalahandi- Niranjan Pujari, Kandhamal-Prafulla Samal, Angul-Pratap Jena, Bargarh- Usha Devi, Rayagada-Surya Narayan Patro, Ganjam-Maheswar Mohanty, Balangir-Prafulla Mallick, Boudh-Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Sundargarh-Sustanta Singh, Snehangini Chhuria-Deogarh
In the remaining 14 districts, Member, Board of Revenue would unfurl the Tri-colour in Dhenkanal while the RDCs of Southern and Northern Division would be the chief guests in Berhampur and Rourkela respectively.
In the remaining 11 districts of Bhadrak, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Khurda, Koraput, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh and Sonepur, the Tri-colour would be unfurled by the collectors, the notification said.
