Keonjhar: Police on Monday arrested three persons including a minor boy for allegedly gang raping a woman in Barbil area of Keonjhar district for two days.
Police conducted the medical examination of the minor and the two other accused, Akshaya Ojha and Rishi Tarua, and then produced them in a court.
According to the victim’s complaint, the three had forced her into a vehicle when she was returning to her home at Barbil after selling vegetables at a weekly haat at Koida on the evening of June 3.
The accused took her inside a cashew forest near Mundanala and raped her for two days.
The woman, however, managed to escape on Friday night and lodged a complaint at Barbil police station the next day.
She also told police that the accused had snatched Rs 13,000 in cash from her and also threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anyone.
Police arrested the three accused on the basis of her complaint.
