Minor Boy Dead, 2 Others Injured After Lantern Blasts In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A minor boy died and two others were injured in a lantern blast at Jhatiki Basti village in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Sashibhushan Mahanta (11). The injured are his mother Nirupama and two-year-old sister Soumya. They are undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College Hospital for burns and their condition is stated to be critical.

The three were sleeping in the house on Tuesday when the lantern blast and fell on Sashibhushan, who sustained 90 per cent burns. The boy died on Thursday after fighting for life for two days.
