Minor boy drowns in pond in Cuttack

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, a minor boy drowned in a pond at Sapha village under Birachintamanipur Sasan in Tangi block of Cuttack district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Anil Das.

According to reports, Anil’s family members went looking for him when he didn’t return home. His body was later fished out from the water body following a search operation by some villagers and police personnel.

It is suspected that the victim might have slipped into the water body while attending nature’s call.
