Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a minor boy went missing in river Daya on the outskirts of Odisha capital on Thursday.
According to sources, the 14-year-old boy belonging to Indira Colony in Lingipur had gone to take bath in the river in the afternoon. As he returned home for a long time, his family members along with the locals went in search of him.
Later, Fire personnel, on being informed about the incident, went to the river and launched a search operation to trace the boy. Two fire tenders and scuba drivers were engaged in the operation.
But the search party failed to find the boy and the operation was called off as night set in. The Fire Brigade would resume the search on Friday morning, the sources said.
