Balasore: The Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jana Satabdi Express was delayed for 15 minutes after a fire was spotted in one of its coaches near Simulia railway station on Thursday morning.
According to sources, passengers saw smoke billowing out of a dustbin kept near the toilet of the coach D-6. They alerted the train staff, who then doused the flame and informed senior officials.
The fire is suspected to have been caused by a cigarette carelessly dumped in the dustbin.
