Sundergarh: In a shocking incident, a five-year-old girl was allegedly branded
with hot iron to cure illness at Tumran village under Brahmani Tarang police
limits in Sundergarh on Friday.
According to sources, the child was suffering from cold and cough, following
which, her parents allegedly branded her with a hot iron rod to cure the ailment.
The girl was rushed to Ispat General Hospital in Rourkela, as her condition
deteriorated. Her condition is stated to be critical.
