Balasore: A minor girl consumed poison after allegedly being gangraped by three youth, including her boyfriend, at a hotel in Odisha’s Balasore district.
According to sources, the survivor has been admitted to the Balasore Medical College and Hospital where her condition was stated to be critical.
The incident took place when the minor girl of Balasore Sadar Block area visited Chandipur beach along with her boyfriend on Friday afternoon. The two stayed in a hotel located near the beach.
However, the girl was allegedly raped by her boyfriend and his two friends in the hotel room.
After being betrayed by her boyfriend, the girl allegedly consumed poison at home in a bid to end her life last night.
Based on a complaint by the girl’s family, Balasore Sadar Police raided the hotel and detained all three accused youth as well as the hotel manager for interrogation. Further investigation is in progress.
