Bhadrak: A minor girl, who had been missing since Friday, was found stuffed in a gunny bag at Gadapada village in Guamala panchayat under Tihidi police limits on Saturday night.
According to available information, the girl was found abandoned at a secluded place near her house with her hands and legs tied. She was rescued by her family members and admitted to Tihidi community health centre in a critical condition.
Though the reason behind as to how the girl went missing is yet to be known, locals suspect that she was abducted by someone and later dumped near her house.
Following the incident, a person has been detained for his alleged involvement in the case.
Police said that the victim will be questioned after her health condition improves.
Meanwhile, the villagers have demanded a thorough inquiry into the incident.
