Malkangiri: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by two youths in a forest in Malkangiri district on Friday night.
According to available information, the accused identified as Budura Madakami and Sama Madakami of Kalimela area in the district abducted the minor girl from her house at Erbanpali village at around 11 pm and gang-raped her in a nearby forest.
The victim was later rescued by Kalimela police and admitted to the district headquarters hospital in a critical condition.
Based on the girl’s statement, police swung into action and managed to nab the accused.
A case has been registered against the two under Sections 376, 457, 363 of IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act.
