Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police managed to trace a minor girl within an hour after she went missing from a residential colony in Naharkanta area under Pahal police limits in Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening.
The girl’s father lodged a missing report at around 8:30 pm at Pahal police station. Acting swiftly, the police located the girl within an hour and reunited her with her family. “She left home at around 7 pm due to a quarrel in the family. After failing to locate her, we approached the police for help. Police teams in 4-5 vehicles launched a search operation and traced her within 35-40 minutes,” the father said in a video message.
He expressed gratitude to Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar DCP and ASIs Nilambar Sahu and Shiba Prasad Sahu of Pahal police, which led the operation, for the quick action.
