Bhadrak: Police on Saturday detained a minor girl for killing her grandmother with a pestle at Napang village under Bhandaripokhari police limits in Bhadrak district.
According to villagers, the minor girl was staying with her grandmother, Sashi Das. The two had frequent quarrels and there was a similar altercation between them on Friday night.
On Saturday morning, neighbours were alerted by the screams of the girl. When the neighbours rushed into the house, they found the old woman lying in a pool of blood.
Following information, police rushed to the spot and detained the girl, who confessed to her crime.
