Balangir: A minor girl was allegedly raped and murdered by three youths of her village in Odisha’s Balangir district.
As per reports, the girl of Tutapali village under Saintala block in the district had gone out of her house to attend to nature’s call when her parents were sleeping on Wednesday night. But she did not return home.
On not finding her in her bed next morning, her parents went in search of her but could not fund her. Later, some girls of the village found her lying in extreme pain near a bush at a distance from her house and informed her family.
Her parents rushed her to a hospital at Saintala. As her condition deteriorated, they shifted her to Bhimabhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir on the advice of the doctors. But the doctors in the medical college announced her brought dead.
On being informed, a team from Saintala police station went to the village and started investigation. They also registered a case of unnatural death.
The minor girl’s father alleged that three youths from the village had been harassing his daughter for some time. He accused them of raping and murdering the girl. However, police have not arrested anybody in this connection.
