Minor Girl ‘Sexually Assaulted’ By Tutor’s Husband In Puri

Puri: A minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her tutor’s husband at Talasahi in Anlajodi village in Puri district.

Though the incident took place three days ago, the matter came to the fore on Sunday morning after a group of BJP activists staged a demonstration in the village, demanding his immediate arrest.

The accused identified as Abhimanyu Sahu has been absconding after the incident.

According to available information, the girl had been taking lessons at the house of the lady teacher, who is also sarpanch of Anlajodi panchayat, since long. Three days ago when the victim’s father went to bring his daughter back from tuition, he noticed that the accused misbehaving with her.

On reaching home, the victim narrated how her teacher’s husband had been sexually assaulting her, following which they lodged a police complaint.
