Berhampur: A minor girl allegedly went missing after leaving home for tuition at Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
A resident of the housing board area in the city, she left home on Tuesday morning, sources said.
Family members panicked when she did not return till late evening. They soon found her cycle parked near Utkal Cinema Hall street. Scanning of footage of nearby CCTV cameras revealed that she had hired an auto from there. The auto driver was soon traced. On learning that he had dropped her at the railway station, they reported the matter to Berhampur Railway Protection Force (RPF). The CCTV footage there showed that the girl boarded Hyberabad-bound Visakha Express. Soon an alert was sounded to trace the girl.
When all efforts failed, the family left for the City of Pearls in search of the girl, the sources added.
