Bhubaneswar: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Odisha government has reassigned responsibilities to two senior IAS officers.
Chithra Arumugam, an officer of 199
5 batch, will continue as Director General of Training Coordination at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, a premier institute for civil service capacity building in the state. She will also hold the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary to the Science & Technology Department.
Arumugam previously also served as Additional Chief Secretary to the Labour & ESI Department while handling additional responsibilities of Science & Technology and the Gopabandhu Academy.
Dodda Venkata Swamy, a 2001-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Labour & ESI Department after returning from central deputation. Swamy earlier served as Chairman of the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) in Kochi, where he contributed to fisheries and export promotion policies.
