Bhubaneswar: The forest wing of Vigilance on Thursday seized minor minerals worth Rs 54.2 lakh during raids at three places in Jajpur district.
Following inputs about smuggling of the minerals, Vigilance sleuths intercepted three trucks at Kantagadia, Chandikhol Chhak and Deuli in Jajpur district.
During the search of the trucks, the Vigilance officials seized 18 cubic metre of black granaite stone and 230 cft of sand. The trucks were carrying the minor minerals illegally without any permit or document.
In this connection, three forest cases have been registered and further investigation is on, according to a release.
