Minor Mishap Stalls Duronto Express On Tracks In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Passengers of Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express train were stranded at Rupsa railway station in Odisha’s Balasore district after the train met with a minor mishap on Friday.
According to media reports, the speeding train experience a jolt after it dashed against some equipment, which were mistakenly left near the tracks. The pressure chamber and the front part of the train suffered damages and the hose pipe got snapped in the mishap, which took place when the train was passing through Rupsa junction on platform 1 around 2 pm.

Till reports last came in, a team of engineers from Kharagpur had reached the spot for the repair work.

Passengers, however, expressed unhappiness over lack of safety measures and the delay in carrying out repairs.
