Minor Siblings Charred To Death In Pigsty Fire Mishap In Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a tragic incident, two minor siblings were charred to death after a fire broke out in a pigsty at Bansapala Adala Mundasahi village under Nayakot police limits in Keonjhar district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Rahul Munda and Sagar Munda.

According to sources, the incident occurred when they playing near the pig sty. A massive fire engulfed the sty and the minors were burnt alive.

They were rescued by locals, who rushed them to Keonjhar district headquarters hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared them ‘brought dead’.

The family members of the deceased were at farmland when the accident took place.

Though the exact reason behind the fire mishap is yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that the kids were lighting fire near the pigsty.
