Berhampur: Two children died on the spot after the motorcycle they were going on was mowed down by a speeding truck near Gandapalli in Khallikote Tehsil in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday.
As per reports, the kids aged 10 and 4 were travelling with their parents on the motorcycle when the truck hit their two-wheeler while they were crossing the road.
The parents of the children sustained critical injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital by locals.
The locals also managed to detain the driver and informed police, who reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
