Minor Student Succumbs To Snakebite In Odisha’s Sambalpur District

Sambalpur: A boy studying in Std 10 tragically died from a snakebite while sleeping in his room at Rairakhol in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Friday.

The mishap occurred in Sampur village under Rairakhol police limits and the deceased was identified as Velim Sahu, said sources.

Sahu was staying and studying at his Maternal uncle’s home in Sampur.

Locals alleged that Sahu’s relatives resorted to witchcraft and then rushed him to the hospital where he was declared brought dead, sources added.

Rairakhol police have registered a case and investigating the matter.
