Miraculous Escape For Infant As His Parents & Sister Die In Road Mishap In Odisha

Balangir: A 15-month-old baby boy had a miraculous escape in a road accident that claimed the lives of his parents and minor sister in Odisha’s Balangir district on Friday.

According to sources, the accident took place when Saroj Pasayat of Titlagarh in the district was going on his motorcycle with his wife, 3-year-old daughter and the infant son to attend the marriage of one his relatives Khujenpali village under Sadar police station.

As Saroj reached Udar village under Titlagarh block, a bus coming from Balangir collided with his bike head-on. Under the impact of the collision, the entire family of Saroj fell down. As the locals rushed to their rescue, they found Saroj dead on the spot.

However, they rushed all of them to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital at Balangir. Later, Saroj’s wife and daughter succumbed to injuries. Fortunately, Saroj’s 15-month-old son escaped without a scratch.

On being informed, police went to the accident spot and registered a case. Further investigation is on.
