Mumbai: Television, OTT and film actor Shahnawaz Pradhan passed away under tragic circumstances at the age of 56.
Shahnawaz, who portrayed the role of a police officer in popular web series ‘Mirzapur’, was attending an awards function on Friday night when he complained of chest pain and fell unconscious.
He was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, but doctors failed to revive him as he had suffered a massive heart attack.
Shahnawaz was cremated at Mazgaon on Saturday.
‘Lagaan’ actor Yashpal Sharma, who was present at the function, said everything was going fine and Shahnawaz received an award, before he suffered a heart attack.
Shahnawaz, who had an acting career spanning three decades, featured in films like ‘Phantom’ and ‘Raees’, and TV series like ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh, ‘Alif Laila’, ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ and ‘Krishna’.
