Cuttack: An unidentified miscreant barged into Charchika UG ME school in Banki in Odisha’s Cuttack and attacked a standard III boy student with a shared weapon.
According to sources, the incident took place on Thursday when the minor boy, identified as Sai Prasad, was playing near the locked gate during his break time at noon. He suffered injuries on his knees and started screaming loudly following which the miscreant fled from the spot.
The minor was immediately rushed to Banki sub-divisional hospital (SDH) for first aid treatment and sent to his home.
The principal of the school, Jayanthi Gochi, and Sai’s father have filed two separate complaints at Banki police station. As per the complaint, the miscreant was wearing a mask and riding a white scooter.
A probe was initiated on the basis of the complaints to ascertain the identity of the miscreant and his intention behind attacking the minor boy.
