Miscreant Smashes Car Window, Steals Rs 4 Lakh In Broad Daylight In Cuttack

Cuttack: In a broad daylight heist, an unidentified miscreant broke a car window and decamped with Rs 4 lakh at Mahanadi Vihar here on Friday.

The victim, identified as Prashant Senapati of Kanheipur area, has lodged a complaint at Chauliaganj police station and a manhunt has been launched to nab the looter.

The loot took place while Senapati was having a conversation with a friend on the roadside after withdrawing Rs 4 lakh from a bank in Mahanadi Vihar area in the afternoon, sources said.

There were important documents in the looted money bag, the sources added.
