Jajpur: A female Naib Sarpanch and her husband were assaulted by two youths at Rahasoi village in Jajpur district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the Naib Sarpanch and her husband had gone to Rahasoi village to bring five youths to keep them in the institutional quarantine after they returned from Kolkata.
On reaching the village, the couple was assaulted and abused by two youths, Sanjay Das and Janmejaya Das.
Acting on the complaint lodged by the Naib Sarpanch, police arrived at the village on Thursday and took the five Kolkata-returnee youths and kept them in the institutional quarantine.
