Puri: Unidentified miscreants attacked a family and set their house on fire at Jhagapatna village under Bramhagiri block in Puri district on Monday night.
According to available information, a group of miscreants barged into the house, thrashed three members of the family residing there and then took them to a nearby abandoned house. They detained the trio for several hours.
On being informed about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and rescued the victims.

However, police have started investigation on the basis of the statements of the victims and the locals.
